Technical guidelines for waterway management (VIC)

The Technical Guidelines for Waterway Management represent current best practice and incorporate environmental and technical advances in river health restoration and protection, since the publication in 1991 of the Guidelines for Stabilising Waterways.

Alluvium Director Ross Hardie was the principal author of the guidelines which are designed to achieve the most effective beneficial river health outcomes for the resources and effort invested.

Published by the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE), the guidelines assist waterway management professionals with planning, design and implementation of river health programs within a clearly defined planning framework.
