Business case for investment in Latrobe River
West Gippsland CMA’s Latrobe River Health Program seeks to optimise future investment in the Latrobe River by determining the most effective combination of environmental flow delivery and complementary catchment works. Alluvium was engaged by the CMA to develop a Business Case to define priorities for this investment. The project involved identification of key catchment values, assessment of ecological risks and definition of goals, objectives and targets for managing the river’s long-term health. The result was a Business Case that prioritised $20 million in river health investigations and activities over a period of 20 years.
